I know I Should be Doing Homework but.....
Yeah, I know I should be doing my math assigment for Thursday right now, which I will do after I'm done this post. Anyway I was browsing through my favorites tonight on Firefox and I came across I bookmarked a while ago. It's called the Museum of Modern Beta's. It's quite an interesting link as there are litterally hundreds if not thousands of Beta's going around the web right now. Most of them are still in Public Beta, some you need an invite or a code to get into, however, a good numb
er of them are out into public beta and you are able to participate in beta's of some really cool Web 2.0 stuff. Most of the stuff looks pretty darn shiny as well. And an interesting thing I found on /. apperently some people think that people who have older computers running Windows 98 or ME won't go to XP or wait for Vista, but go for the somewhat-better solution: Linux. And I tend to agree. Linux, although not as popular as Windows, is certainly much better in terms of security and the customization, if you know how to run it, is amazing. Here's a vid I found on YouTube a while ago, and featured back in August, about Ubuntu running Open XGL and Compiz . Needless to says, it looks amazing. And I don't think this so by-the-seat-of-the-pants trend. I think people who are tired of buying an upgrade copy of Windows every 2-3 years will soon realize there is a free, (or realitivly lost cost) solution that is better in so many ways than Windows. Anyways, now that I'm finished this and watching NCIS , I'm going to do a bit of Math Homework and get to bed.
