Of Duct Tape and The Hague

The other day in Canadian History class, I read off of the shirt a class mate the following caption:
"Duck Tape is like the Force. It has a light side and a dark side and holds the Universe Together."
How very true. See this evening when I got back from movie night at the church, of which I am a volunteer, Mom wante

d me to help her move some stuff from the garage so Dad could use it tomorrow. Now I probably should explain this. See, over the past, oh, I don't know, 16 years, my home has become a place for random junk. Books that I used to read when I was 4, toys and just stuff that has not practical purpose. So mom put most of it in boxes and threw it in the garage. Only tomorrow Dad has to do Wrought Iron work (read:Blacksmithing) and needs the space. So Mom conscripted me to move stuff from point A to point B. Only thing is, those boxes are not in the best of shape and fell apart. Well at least the first one did and we ended up using true Canadian knowhow (duct tape) to get it fixed. So we got all of the stuff moved, but it's a eyesore in my basement now. I'm looking at it know and I really really want it out of my basement. I'm tired of having all of this junk lying around here. But enough about the junk.
    Reading around the almightly Wiki tonight I found out several interesting facts. For example, the upper and lower houses of the Netherlands are housed in the Hague. So are most foreign embassies, the Supreme Court and many lobbiest organizations. Another random fact, Queen Beatrix was educated in Canada. Why? Because during the time when she was a child, the Nazi's where occupying her homeland and the Nazi's didn't really like the Monarchary of any country.Her sister Princess Margiret was born in Canada. And when she, the goverment in exile of the Netherlands had part of the hospital certified as Dutch territory so Margiet could be certified as a royal. Weird huh?
