The New House Part I: Design
So last night we started the process in which we will build our new house. The architect, who will be designing the house was over last night, talking to my parents about what they want in new house and it's looking pretty good. First of all, they're going to put the fireplace into a seperate part of the house where it won't interfere with everything else. Currently, the fireplace is right in the centre of the entertainment center, which is a pain the butt. Second thing that I convinced them to to do was put RJ-45 (Ethernet) jacks into all of the rooms. This is a huge thing for me. Considering that everything is wired these days, I think that we need something like that in every home. On top of that, I'm going to put the the things like the modem and the router in a part of the house away from the rest of the computers. That way they're will be no tripping over of cords and such. I also suggested to Dad that it might be useful to wall mount his shiny new LCD HDTV. He's still considering that, but I think it's probably a good idea. Anyway, the architect should be back to us in a few weeks to a few months. Then we'll see what happens of this.
