The Utter Crap From Hollywood
Looking at the previews for many of the movies that are supposed to come out the next fews all I can say is this : What happened to making good movies. All Hollywood can think to make is crappy horror flicks. Whatever happened to a decent thriller or action flick? The last, really good movie I went to go see was Breach in March. I know that doesn't seem like that far back, but it just seems that Hollywood is slowly becoming Horrorwood. All it produces are weird, stupid Horror movies. When's the last time wed had a decent Sci-fi flick out? 2 years? The last movie that I thought was worthy of Oscar status was Inside Man, directed by Spike Lee (the man knows how to direct a movie.) Unfortunately, these good thrillers are becoming less and less. 16 Blocks wasn't bad either, but it was lacking in a cohesive plot line. Maybe it's just a dry time of year. I have yet to see Pirates 2, but I guess I'm going to have too if I plan on seeing Pirate's 3 this May. That and Spider Man 3 are the movies that I'm looking forward to seeing next. I've got a lot of movies to catch up on at Home. Notably Lord of War and Good Sheppard. Friend of mine from Church has his own little movie collection (over 800 movies) in his basement and leaves it open for people to borrow as they wish. I've been meaning to take him up that offer for the past few weeks, but haven't gotten around to it. I think I May do that sometime in the next few weeks.
In other news, I've got an interview at Canadian Tire (outdoor and general hardware store) on Thursday. I hope I get the job. Macbook here I come!

this is very good. I'm finding myself listening to my podcast, about to invest in a couple of DVD recorders (we had a DVR but it made our cable bill too expensive). I do agree with you my geek brother, if I do not go and see a movie in two weeks, I wait for the DVD.
